Membership Customer-Specific Exceptions

Because Every Rule Has One

Customer profiles now support controlled exceptions to plan-level and organisation-level rules: change a member's trial length, refund and re-bill their invoices, prepay upcoming cycles, apply a one-off discount, or adjust their store credit, all recorded on the profile.

The customer profile was already the operational anchor for staff. Favourites and preferences, custom parameters, aliasing for anonymity, and bans with a recorded reason were all there. But every hospitality operator hits situations where the standard rules don't quite fit an individual customer. A VIP guest on the standard plan might need their trial extended without changing the plan for everyone else. A key member might need a specific invoice refunded and re-billed against a corrected card. A returning regular might deserve a bespoke one-off discount just this once. Tiquo now handles exactly that: exceptions to the rules are built in, applied per customer, and don't touch the plan or organisation-level configuration that governs the rest of the base. Every workaround your team was doing manually is now a first-class action on the profile.

What's new

Membership actions

  • Change the payment method on file
  • Change the plan a member is on
  • Cancel at period end, not just immediately
  • Prepay upcoming billing periods
  • Refund and re-bill selected past invoices

Pricing exceptions

  • One-off discount attached to a specific customer or company
  • Store credit added or adjusted, optionally scoped to specific sublocations

How it works

Every exception lives on the customer's profile. Actions are recorded against the customer, don't affect the plan or organisation configuration, and are visible on the customer's profile for future reference.
