Tiquo obtains your explicit consent before processing sensitive personal data, unless processing is strictly necessary to provide the services you have requested or is required by law. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at privacy@tiquo.co.
Where customers use the Tiquo platform to collect sensitive personal data from their own end-users (for example, health-related information in spa or wellness settings), the customer is responsible as the data controller for obtaining appropriate consent from those individuals.
Data Protection Assessments
We conduct data protection assessments for processing activities that present a heightened risk to consumers, including processing for targeted advertising, processing of sensitive personal data, and any processing that involves profiling. These assessments are maintained internally and are available to regulators upon request as required by applicable law.
Choice
We use your personal data only for the purposes described in this privacy policy, and we share it only with the parties described in this policy. We do not sell your personal data, and we have no plans to use it in any other way.
If that were ever to change, meaning we intended to use your personal data for a purpose materially different from the purposes for which it was originally collected or subsequently authorised, or to disclose it to a non-agent third party not described in this policy, we would notify you first and give you a clear opportunity to opt out before doing so. You can exercise that choice at any time by contacting us using the details in the "Contact Us" section below.
Certain personal data, such as medical or health information, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, and religious or philosophical beliefs, is classified as Sensitive Information. We do not use Sensitive Information for any purpose other than the one for which you originally provided it, and we never would without first obtaining your explicit, affirmative consent (opt-in). You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting privacy@tiquo.co.

AI and Automated Processing
We offer optional AI-enabled features that our customers (service businesses such as hotels, restaurants, spas, gyms, clinics, cinemas, event venues, training providers and similar) can choose to enable. These features process data using Anthropic as our AI model provider.
Our AI Features
- Analytics Insights - AI generates explanations from anonymised analytics data
- Customer Overview Summaries - AI creates customer profile summaries
- Customer Name Enrichment - parses email prefixes to infer first and last names during import
- AI Documents and Forms - generates document templates based on your use case
- Email Campaign Designer - AI-assisted email drafting
- Segment Builder - converts natural language into segment rules
No Automated Decision-Making with Legal Effect
None of these AI features make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. Under GDPR Article 22, you have the right not to be subject to solely automated decision-making with legal or significant effects. Our AI features do not do this.
Data Transfer to Anthropic
Where your venue enables AI features, your data may be processed by Anthropic in the United States. Anthropic is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (and its UK Extension and the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework); where that certification is not relied upon, transfers are made under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). Anthropic does not use your data for model training.
Your Control
AI features are enabled and managed by the venue (the business you interact with). If you have concerns about how AI features are used in relation to your personal data, please contact your venue directly. As the data controller, your venue is responsible for determining whether and how AI features are applied to your data.
International Transfers
We use cloud infrastructure in multiple regions:
- AWS eu-west-1 (Ireland)
- AWS us-east-1 (Virginia)
Customer data is replicated across both regions. We transfer personal data internationally only where appropriate safeguards are in place. For transfers of personal data to the United States, we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, the UK Extension to the EU-US DPF, and the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework in respect of certified recipients (including Tiquo and any sub-processor that is itself certified under the Frameworks), and on the safeguards below for all other transfers:
- EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Decision 2021/914) Modules 2 and 3
- UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) and ICO Addendum
- Swiss FDPIC-recognised mechanisms
- APEC Cross-Border Privacy Rules (CBPR) where applicable
- Adequacy decisions, where applicable
Some of our sub-processors are based in the United States (Stripe, Clerk, Anthropic, and others). Transfer Impact Assessments are maintained and available on request from privacy@tiquo.co
EU-US Data Privacy Framework, UK Extension, and Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework
Tiquo complies with the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (EU-US DPF), the UK
Extension to the EU-US DPF, and the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework (Swiss-US
DPF) as set forth by the US Department of Commerce. Tiquo has certified to the US
Department of Commerce that it adheres to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework
Principles with regard to the processing of personal data received from the European
Union in reliance on the EU-US DPF, from the United Kingdom (and Gibraltar) in reliance on the UK Extension to the EU-US DPF, and from Switzerland in reliance on the Swiss-US DPF.
If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the Data Privacy
Framework Principles, the Principles shall govern. To learn more about the Data Privacy Framework program, and to view our certification, please visit
https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/.
The Data Privacy Framework Principles apply to all personal data we receive in reliance on the Frameworks. We adhere to the Principles of Notice; Choice; Accountability for Onward Transfer; Security; Data Integrity and Purpose Limitation; Access; and Recourse, Enforcement and Liability.
Scope of personal data, purposes and disclosures. The categories of personal data we collect, the purposes for which we use it, and the types of third parties to which we disclose it, are described elsewhere in this privacy policy (see "How We Use Your Data”, "Who We Share Your Data With", and "Categories of Personal Information”).
Accountability for onward transfers. Where we transfer personal data received under the Data Privacy Framework to third-party agents or service providers that process it on our behalf, we remain responsible and liable under the Principles if those third parties process the personal data in a manner inconsistent with the Principles, unless we prove we are not responsible for the event giving rise to the damage.
Access and choice. You have the right to access your personal data, and to limit its use and disclosure. To request access, correction, amendment or deletion of personal data we process under the Frameworks, or to exercise choice over its use, contact us at privacy@tiquo.co. These rights are described in further detail in the "Your Rights” section below.
Independent recourse mechanism. In compliance with the EU-US DPF, the UK
Extension, and the Swiss-US DPF, Tiquo commits to cooperate and comply respectively with the advice of the panel established by the EU data protection authorities (DPAs), the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), and the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), with regard to unresolved complaints concerning our handling of personal data received in reliance on the Frameworks.
If you have a Data Privacy Framework-related complaint that we have not resolved satisfactorily, please first contact us at privacy@tiquo.co. We will respond within 45 days. If your complaint remains unresolved, you may, at no cost to you, refer it to the relevant authority above. We undertake to cooperate with, and comply with the advice given by, the EU DPA panel, the UK ICO, or the Swiss FDPIC, as applicable.
Regulatory oversight. Tiquo is subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) with respect to its adherence to the Data
Privacy Framework.
Lawful requests by public authorities. We may be required to disclose personal data in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.
Binding arbitration. Under certain conditions, and as a last resort after other dispute resolution avenues have been exhausted, you may invoke binding arbitration before the Data Privacy Framework Panel. Further information is available in Annex I of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework Principles at https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/
